A window on the world

Global scale

Centrale Lyon has been a pioneer in global networking, forging close ties with prestigious foreign universities, and developing productive partnerships with industrial firms in what are now highly sought-after countries, such as the USA, Japan, China, Russia, Central Europe, or Brazil...

The quality of its research and of its general engineering training has ensured a high international profile and reputation for the school, reinforced by a policy of network-creation which is at once proactive and selective (Centrale Lyon is, for example, a member of TIME: Top Industrial Managers for Europe)."

A multicultural campus

Centrale Lyon today has gone beyond merely opening up to the global world. Campus and school are now truly international entities: the teaching staff are partly foreign-trained; teachers from abroad are regularly invited on residencies of several months' duration; more than 250 students from all over the world are in training as engineers with us or preparing doctorates in one of our labs; and we have offices open in several countries worldwide...

Corporate expectations

Centrale Lyon's graduates are general engineers with a global outlook. The School has internationalized primarily in response to the requirements of firms whose multicultural teams are looking for engineers able to work in several languages, with solid international experience, and a cross-cultural approach to problem-solving
