Run by a Director with support from a management team, the School is composed of departments with the responsibility of creating synergies between the two fundamental missions of training and research. These 6 departments co-ordinate the work of the research units and the teaching units.

The School is administered by a Governing Board, backed up by a Teaching Committee and a Research Committee. All three comprise representatives from all the various categories of person in the School, plus outside members from academia and industry.
